What Course to Study

Emmaus Bible College is an accredited institution of higher education through its membership alliance with the Sydney College of Divinity (SCD). As a Member Institution we offer courses ranging from the Diploma of Christian Studies to the Master of Theology.

Emmaus Bible College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) registering through the NSW Vocation Education Training Advisory Board (VETAB). This status enables us to offer a range of vocational qualifications and different levels. The courses offered under the RTO status tends to have a vocational slant to it rather than an academic rigor; this means that there are many ways in which assessment is carried out and not always through a written assignment. Candidates are encouraged to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL is a process that recognises the candidates past skills, experience and knowledge which can be accredited toward their qualification.

Course on offer are:

  • Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology
  • Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology
  • Diploma of Christian Studies
  • Associate Degree of Christian Thought and Practice
  • Bachelor of Theology
  • Master of Arts
  • Master of Divinity
  • Master of Theology

Which course is for me?

First decide what do I want to do with the qualification?

If you plan to work with small groups and/or youth at a local church level, then a Certificate course would suit your needs, especially if you have a volunteer at the church. Maybe you just want a better understanding of the scriptures in a systematic way for you own person use, again the Certificate course may suit your needs.

If you plan to seek out a pastoral position or you just want to be challenged to attain a higher education qualification you might consider our academic program.

Either way I am sure that God will bless your choice of study.
