Diploma in Theology

The Diploma of Theology is a two-year full time program but may be completed over a period of six (6) years. The Diploma aims to provide a foundation of knowledge and skills appropriate to Christian ministry, but not necessarily to the extent required for full-time Christian ministry. It is designed for Christians desiring a sound foundation for informed participation in the local church, para-church ministries and in the wider community.

Each student’s program contains core and elective units. The elective units available enable development of theological knowledge in topics of special interest.

Accreditation is through the Sydney College of Divinity. Some credit may be allowed for previous learning.

 


Every program shall consist of 16 subjects, including:

• at least 3 units in Biblical Studies

• at least 3 units in Theology

• at least 3 units in Pastoral Theology and Practice
• at least 7 units in a range of subjects selected from the above sub-disciplines or from the following sub-       disciplines

Study programs are available either via weekly lectures or via on-line learning.

Bachelor of Theology

he Bachelor of Theology is a three-year full time program but may be completed over a period of nine (9) years. The Bachelor program aims to provide knowledge and skills appropriate to Christian ministryincluding those who are working or desire to work in full-time Christian ministry.

Each student’s program contains core and elective units. The elective units available enable development of theological knowledge in topics of special interest.
