Sin and Salvation PDF Print E-mail

In Galatians 3: 24, 25; the apostle Paul tells us that the Law is a tutor to bring us to Christ.

However, sin first came into the world when Adam and Eve submitted to the Serpent's temptation (Gen 3: 1-21). When they disobeyed God they immediately died spiritually and began the long, slow, painful process of physical death. Sin can be defined as disobeying God but it can also be defined in terms of the Law. There is one essential precondition for a person to be saved by grace; they must be a sinner. As soon as a person admits they are a sinner then they are eligible for salvation. Even though a person is unwilling to admit that they are a sinner, we are all sinners by choice (Rom 3: 23). Every person is also a sinner because they are descendants of Adam, the first sinner (Rom 5: 12).

Any person who believes in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ will have eternal life (John 3: 16). This must be a conscious act of the will rather than something done emotionally without proper consideration.
