| Emmaus Bible College Library really is a fantastic resource. Much of the material held within our walls, is wonderfully exciting. You are sure to find something of interest, regardless of who you are or where your interests lie. Emmaus library is available for use by any who want to use it – including borrowing - provided the situation is appropriate, the prospective user agrees to follow our guidelines and for other than our own students, staff and pastors from Brethren assemblies, to pay the small annual fee of $30. Arrangements can also be made for external borrowers, interstate or even overseas

Some statistics: Holdings: approximately 11500 books and 120 journal titles of which 60 are current subscriptions. Also available are two online databases: ATLA (American Theological Libraries Association – abstracts) and ATLAS (Full text journal articles). These as well as our catalogue will be available for remote access - upon registration - from the commencement of Semester 2 this year. A collection dedicated to the history and polity of the Brethren movement with works both historical and current across our subject area range, and Brethren journals are kept in Archives as well as interspersed throughout the general collection. Emmaus Bible College library is accredited with SCD for the purposes of our own college, and with ACT for the purposes of students and staff from Macquarie Christian Studies Institute and School of Christian Studies. We are members of ANZTLA (Australian and New Zealand Theological Library Association) and the Brethren Archivists’ and Historians’ Network. Subject areas covered include - Biblical studies

Materials are chosen for acquisitions based on the following criteria: - Support value to our own students, staff and the curricula offered at Emmaus Bible College offering both material in support of Brethren belief systems and opposing views.
- Enduring value to library users, for example, classic writers.
- Brethren material (see below).
- Recommendation from outside sources, after assessment.
Donations to the Library fund of over $2.00 are tax deductible and there are several projects that you could sponsor. - We are looking at upgrading our library computer system, so that we might be able to offer web access to our catalogue. Since we are a part of the Sydney College of Divinity, any system we choose has to be of tertiary institution standard.
- Purchasing of new material.
