What we Believe
The Bible
Is inspired of God, inerrant in the original, entirely trustworthy and the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The Godhead
God is Creator, God is one, eternally existing in three persons, revealed to us as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, He died in our place, He rose bodily from the dead and ascended to His Father's right hand, where He now ministers as our Great High Priest. He will return in power & glory.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit indwells all believers enabling them to live godly lives. He equips all believers with gifts for service to God. He empowers all believers as witnesses of Jesus Christ.
People are created in God's image, for the purpose of fellowship with God.
All people have sinned and are separated from God. All are under God's condemnation and are powerless to save themselves.
Salvation
Redemption is wholly by the blood of Jesus Christ; Regeneration is by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is a gift by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.
All believers have eternal life and, being justified, sanctified and sealed by the Holy Spirit, are secure for eternity.
The Church
Beginning at Pentecost, the Church is the universal body of Jesus Christ, united to Him as its Head and to one another by the Holy Spirit. This redeemed community is called to glorify God through worship, fellowship & service and to proclaim Jesus Christ until His return.
Baptism and Communion
Baptism is by immersion and symbolises the believer's death, burial and resurrection with Jesus Christ, and new life in Him.
The Lord's Supper is a memorial of Christ, instituted by Jesus, for believers.
Return Of Christ
The personal return of Jesus Christ to translate His Church is imminent. This will be followed by the Tribulation and the inauguration of Christ's reign over the earth. Finally, Christ will deliver up the Kingdom to the Father.
Resurrection
Believers will be resurrected to eternal life, and unbelievers to eternal and conscious judgement..
